Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), located in Kochi, Kerala, India, is a prominent institution known for its focus on science and technology education and research.​

History:

Established on July 10, 1971, as the University of Cochin, CUSAT was formed through an act of the Kerala Legislature to promote postgraduate studies and advanced research in applied sciences, technology, industry, commerce, management, and social sciences. In February 1986, it was renamed Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). ​

Facilities:

CUSAT operates across three campuses:​

Main (Thrikkakara) Campus: Located in South Kalamassery, this 180-acre campus houses the School of Engineering, Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering, School of Management Studies, various science departments, and the School of Legal Studies. ​

Lakeside Campus: Situated on Fine Arts Avenue in Kochi city, this campus is home to the School of Marine Sciences, School of Industrial Fisheries, and several departments related to oceanography and marine biology. It features one of Asia's largest marine science libraries and possesses a research vessel for coastal water studies. ​

Pulincunnoo Campus: Located in Kuttanad, Alappuzha District, approximately 65 km from the main campus, this campus hosts the Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad (CUCEK), and the Cochin University College of Computer Applications (CUCCA). ​
