SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), formerly known as SRM University, was established in 1985 as SRM Engineering College in Kattankulathur, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was granted the status of a deemed university in 2002 and later renamed SRMIST. Founded by Dr. T.R.
